What the scheme actually gives

  • The National AI Strategy (a whole-of-government roadmap through 2028, approved in 2025) and the National AI Center for Research and Innovation (NAICRI) under DOST build national capability.
  • Earlier, the DTI launched the National AI Strategy Roadmap and its 2.0 update, establishing a Center for AI Research.
  • These are policy and research efforts, not procurement subsidies for ordinary businesses.

Does it fund buying AI software?

Government AI programs build policy and research capability; they do not give an ordinary business cash to buy AI software.
